[Credit: The Paint Crusader] As I'm sure many of you in the loop will know by now, there have been several rumours flying round regarding the release of what's been dubbed 'Heresy 2.0'. In this article I'll take a look at the rumours themselves, my opinion on them, and how they could affect the Heresy. The Rumours There are two main 'sources' for these. The first comes from Anuj Malhotra, a former Forgeworld employee who appears to have worked on the Horus Heresy. When he left, he announced: "I love the passion guys. It has been a difficult year due to Covid and Brexit. Great things are coming, hang in there!" This is a fairly enigmatic message, though we could expect that the 'great things' are probably to do with the Heresy, and so the suggestion from those inside is that a big project is in the works. The second source is from everyone's favourite: an anonymous poster on B&C. They make a list of 7 points, stating that: "1....
[Credit: The Paint Crusader] As you might be able to tell by the image above, I’ve settled on a Legion for my board. In the end, I went with the Sons of Horus, as I like their sea/slate green colour scheme, and slightly spiky asthetic. I also love the look of both Reavers and Justaerin. Furthermore, I’ve also hit on an idea for a board: a Zone Mortalis. GW makes this fairly easy, as they sell a 2ft x 2ft ZM tile set, which is the recommended size for an Armies on Parade board. Now comes the tricky part, on several levels: choosing my units. I need a force that’s not going to take too long to paint, has a good narative to it, and doesn’t cost too much. The last point is especially important, as I’m going to be dealing with FW. I had an earlier list that included a breacher squad, but the threat of it setting me back £70(!!!) for a 10-man unit has made me reconsider my options.
